The Flow of Shell Malaysia
by Liyin Yeo
This historical timeline is brought to life across 14 captivating artworks, each marking a significant milestone in Shell’s 13-decade journey in Malaysia—from its pioneering beginnings to its present-day innovations. Together, these pieces offer more than a chronological account; they invite viewers to reflect on a legacy of achievement, resilience, and progress, celebrating both the company’s contributions to the nation and its enduring impact on the energy sector.
Inspired by the dynamic and ever-flowing nature of energy itself, the illustrations embrace a bold and fluid style, with sweeping, free-flowing lines that visually capture motion, transformation, and continuity. Each artwork embodies the seamless movement of energy through time, symbolizing Shell Malaysia’s adaptability, forward momentum, and vision for a sustainable and innovative future.
The exhibition transforms history into a living narrative, where technical accomplishments, human ingenuity, and cultural milestones converge in an immersive visual journey. From the earliest days of exploration and development to modern advancements in energy solutions, the artworks reflect the company’s commitment to progress, innovation, and a lasting legacy. Visitors are invited to explore the exhibition not only as a chronicle of milestones but also as a celebration of creativity, vision, and the enduring flow of energy, highlighting how past achievements continue to inspire future generations.
